It is instead for travelers who wish to try something new in the Everest region. Being a fairly popular trekking route, the trekkers can enjoy being at a higher altitude and visit the second largest glacier in the World. This trek is a total mountain adventure journey to the mystical land of the Himalayas. On the way, you can experience the unique Sherpa cultures, traditions, hospitalities, visit ancient monasteries, and learning about the Tibetan baddish culture of Nepal. You will also be amazed by the stunning views of snow-capped mountains while trekking around this trail. We can see four of the eight highest mountains in the world, Mt Everest , Mt Lhotse, Mt Makalu, Mt Cho Oyu. It also offers excellent and rewarding views of Ama Dablam, Chola Tse, Thamsharku, Taweche, Kongde, Gyanchungkang, Kangtenga, and many more with an excellent view of stunning landscapes and the valleys. The viewpoint of Gokyo Ri, the highest point of the trek and one of the best mountain view spot in all Nepal offers the magnificent 360-degree view. Gokyo Lake and the surroundings are also the major highlights of the trek. Your adventure began with a 40-minute wondering flight on a small plane to the airstrip at Lukla. You will meet your trekking crew then off for an adventure to the beautiful Gokyo valley. The beginning of this trek is the same as trekking to Everest Base Camp. After spending our first night in the mountain in phakding we will trek up to Namche Bazaar on our second day where we will be doing acclimatization. After staying 2 nights In Namche, we’ll head up the valley leaving the usual Everest base camp trail and follow the river runoff from the Ngozumpa glacier. After three days of climbing, we will reach Gokyo. Which sits at the foot of Gokyo Ri (18,300 ft) a huge black mound of rock and dirt. The next morning, you’re invited to take the 3-hour hike to the summit of this black, rocky mound to witness the 360-degree Himalayan view offered only from this vantage point. The Himalayas stand like giants guarding the border into Tibet. After enjoying the beautiful time in Gokyo we’ll start to trek down. We will reach the beautiful village of Khumjung. Which will offer a stunning view of the Mountains of course, and the actual lifestyle and the tradition of the Sherpa people. We will trek down to Namche bazaar then to Monjo for the night. Then we will trek down to Lukla to finish our trek of the Gokyo valley. While the Everest base camp trek is more renowned, the Gokyo Lake Trek is a better destination if you are after mountains and alpine scenery.
