But the MC face mod, Ominis clothes mod, the game footage – everything was done by me. And beside screen recording I had no idea what I was doing beforehand. I wasn't expecting anything from this game and I wasn't even sure I'd be playing it. I never was super into HP and I found that I mostly enjoy the parts of it that were barely in the books - hency my Founders and Marauders vids. So the game could really go either way for me. BUT my god it’s so beautiful and some side storylines are just… - chefs kiss - And our vivarium! And graphorns! Ahhh. Obviously, the Sebastian questline is mostly great, but I also absolutely LOVED Poppy’s. Poppy and all the beasts are just so precious. :c So yeah, I’ve been obsessing over this game for um… Nearly two months now? And the reason you’re only now seeing this video is because it took a whole month to make. A whole. Month. ONE MONTH GUYS. This is literally the most time-consuming vid I’ve made in 15 years. And you can blame Mr. Ominis Gaunt for it. I love him. He’s so precious and deserves the world. The moment I finished my first playthrough my mind immediately went to fancasting him. It’s been years since my last fancasting or crossover vids and no one immediately came to mind. Eventually I went through my very veeeery old vids and I remembered Artyom’s Kai and it just clicked and the work began. I didn’t like how Omi looked in the robe in the game so I went down the modding rabbit hole. I managed to edit his DA (changing all the color variables of the outfit in the code by hand, mind you, because it was blue). Then I just kinda got curious if I could actually port some outfits from other games and I actually did port a Dishonored outfit but I didn’t use it. And then there was MC’s head. I absolutely love Daisy in Ophelia and Ophelia has some very Hogwarts-y shots… So I was like okay, there’re some Rey 3D models, surely it should be doable. And um, not really, not for a first-timer and not for a game with so much facial animation. xD This took a whole week because I can’t sculpt in Blender. So just editing the basic face wasn’t an option, I tried mashing Rey’s and in-game faces together as seamlessly as I could, and then I eventually managed to transfer game’s face animations, and tweaked the face texture to look a bit more like Daisy. A week. A WEEK. Just for the game to crash for me every time I used my mod with face animations. So I was constantly in and out of the game switching between the mods with and without animations to record vids while progressing through. All of this with free cam and tons of takes of the same scenes. But that’s okay, hearing Ominis over and over again wasn’t so bad! And then it was two weeks of going through movies, tv shows & searching for Sebastian fancast and only three days of actually editing dozens of hours of footage. The search for Sebastian was especially frustrating, because I don’t actually like Sebastian? The voice actor did a fantastic job, his questline is great & in the first half of the game I did like him. A lot. But then the constant gaslighting of all the characters around him & constant manipulating of his friends and sister kept going on & on & on… Let’s just say I had no trouble turning him in (especially since it gave me two more interactions with Omi instead of him 😂). In the end I did find some actors who visually looked like Sebastian, but had little to nothing to work with in terms of period pieces. Louis was my first… shall I say gut choice? So I decided to look up something of his but Enola and BOY did Medici work great. Louis absolutely has that Sebastian vibe and you cannot convince me otherwise. And Gemma in Tess seemed like a no-brainer for Anne. So. Yep. This game and this vid took me on quite a journey and gave me some modding skills I never knew I could acquire. I tried making this as non-shippery as I could, but I just ship Omi x happiness, and in my head that’s Omi x MC.
