Recently pulled cameras confirmed that the Nashata Pack, one of the most remote packs in our area, has produced a litter of pups for the second year in a row! We have several videos of the breeding female who is clearly lactating/nursing pups in April. The Nashata Pack formed in early 2019 and carved out a territory between Shoepack Lake and Cranberry Bay. In their first year, the pack produced no pups and we were not sure if the pack was going to really get established. But last year the pack produced at least 3 pups of which at least one survived and now they have produced another litter! Luckily, the breeding female has pretty distinctive coat coloration making her easy to identify on our cameras. Learn more about the Voyageurs Wolf Project: Website: Facebook: Instagram: Twitter:
