May 19 marks the remembrance of the Pontian Greek Genocide (1916 - 1923), one of the darkest moments in Greece’s history. Entire villages and cities were devastated. By 1923, out of Pontian Greeks who lived in Asia Minor, as many as were killed and almost all the rest were forced to flee to neighbouring countries. This was the end of one of the ancient Greek civilizations in Asia Minor. We will never forget… ‣ This video is dedicated to all those who have been violently forced to flee their homes and countries. ---------------------------------------------------------- Adaptation of the title song (Thn Patrida M' Ehasa) from the album Mavrothalassa, 1999.
