Playful Cat Surprises Owner With a Dead Mouse to the Face

A lively kitten took playing with her food a bit too far in a barn in Centralia, Missouri, throwing a dead mouse in her owner’s face. Joel Reams caught the surprising moment on camera and posted it to his TikTok account. The kitten in the video, Argyle, was playing with prey that another cat, Cookie, had caught. “Cookie is our 23-year-old barn cat that raised Argyle and her brother. I was getting ready to explain how Cookie went hunting for Argyle and her brother, but Argyle didn’t let me finish the story by tossing the mouse right at my face,” Reams said. Argyle sadly died at just six months old after being hit by a car. “We miss her terribly as she was quite a sassy girl and so full of life. She’d get into anything and everything she possibly could,” Reams said.
