In this video, we ventured into Walsall, a town in the West Midlands known for its concerning safety challenges. Located approximately 10 miles north of Birmingham, Walsall, like many parts of the Black Country, exhibits clear signs of post-industrial urban decline. According to , Walsall's crime rate stands at a worrying 152, surpassing Birmingham and doubling the UK average. This is indeed a cause for concern. Furthermore, Walsall grapples with poverty, ranking as the 25th most deprived area in the country. Our exploration in this video led us through two of Walsall's most notorious neighborhood Blakenall Heath . The national and local media have depicted Dawson Street and its environs as some of the toughest areas in Britain, overrun by delinquent individuals, including knife-wielding offenders. To put it plainly, the situation was quite intimidating. Blakenall experiences approximately 400 reported crimes each month, predominantly comprising violent incidents and anti-social behavior. The gravity of the situation has prompted news reports describing how many residents live in fear. The Home Office allocated an additional £1 million for increased policing in the area this year. This video provided insight into the most of the most precarious areas within Walsall, which, as a whole, stands out as one of the riskier towns in the West Midlands.
