Hey there! Welcome to Day 28 of my 30-day American phonetic challenge, and today let’s take the sounds /n/ and /ŋ/. The sound /n/ is given by the letter N as well as GN as in gnome, KN as in knife, and PN as in pneumonia. As for /ŋ/, it’s a nasal sound given by the NG combination as in ring or hang as well as just by N as in pink and mango. Let’s practice! 1. Linda Ling’s son’s mango danced the wrong tango. 2. Tens of pink thongs hung pinned on long lawns. 3. The Green Gringos gang were fans of Red Fang. 4. Kinky pneumonic gnomes knitted sponges in Hong Kong. ❤️ Support the challenge, leave a like, and a comment. See ya soon!
