Are you a music producer and trying to build a home studio on a budget? In this video, I'll show you 10 cheap but essential things (under $100) that you need in a home studio. If you're building a home studio then you probably already know that you need the basics like a computer, a DAW like FL Studio, Logic, Ableton, and so on. However, there are also things that might not be so obvious, such as acoustic treatment, things to help you with music theory, noise removal, and so on, and that's what I'll be focusing on in this video. A lot of music producers are also constantly on the move or have limited space in their home recording studios. I have therefore also included some budget studio gear that's great for music producers on the move, such as portable midi keyboards, midi mixers, and so on. A lot of budget audio interfaces have limited functionality, so you can't adjust your monitors and headphones separately. A simple signal splitter can then be helpful. Building a home studio isn't that complicated. The basic things you need are as follows: A computer. A DAW like FL Studio, Ableton etc. A basic audio interface. A pair of studio monitors, and or studio headphones. If you're also planning on recording vocals, then you'll also need a microphone of course. If not, then you don't really even need an audio interface. You can in fact make music “in the box“ using only the onboard soundcard on your computer. However, I strongly recommend getting a dedicated audio interface eventually in any case. There will be a separate video about how to build a home studio on a budget.
