The Eurasian hoopoe is found across Europe, North Africa, and parts of Asia. It inhabits a variety of habitats, such as woodlands, grasslands, and open fields. The bird feeds mainly on insects, which it catches using its long, curved bill. It is a distinctive bird with a colorful appearance and a unique crest of feathers on its head. It is approximately 25-32 cm long with a wingspan of around 44-48 cm. The body is mainly a warm reddish-brown color, with black and white stripes on the wings and tail. The hoopoe is known for its distinctive and melodious call, which is a series of “hoo-poo“ sounds.
