The song is dedicated to the soldiers who are defending Ukraine today at the cost of their own lives, as well as to the mothers who gave birth to the Heroes. “Steppe, steppe“ was written in 1966 by composer Anatoliy Pashkevych and poet Mykola Negoda. For the first time it was performed by a soloist of the Cherkasy Folk Choir - Olga Pavlovskaya.
