This documentary takes you on an adventure to learn and experience Mongolia and its native culture. About one third of Mongolian’s 3 million people live as nomads and are scattered throughout the country. We drove into the mountains and off the road to find the nomadic family we were going to stay with. We spent countless nights experiencing the outdoor beauty of a nomadic lifestyle and the day to day life of its people. In this Mongolian Documentary, you will find a focus on their biggest festival of the year: Naadam. Naadam celebrates the nomadic lifestyle of Mongolia through three main sports’ competitions: Archery, Wrestling, and Horse back riding. These sports are key to the success of the Mongolian battles throughout history and are still part of the celebrated culture today. The biggest festival is in the capital UB but the less touristy Naadams are held in all the villages and provinces spread out through the country during July. This adventure through Mongolia is by far the most authentic experience I have had on any trip and I am proud and excited to share this video with all of you! I want to give a big thank you to Gregg Mikolasek for helping me plan this trip and for the drone Aerial footage used in this video! A big thank you to Ganerdene yuljinsenge for being an amazing tour as well! None of this could have been done with out you two.
