The time has come, I have made a retro slip! A long requested project, today I am making a garment without a waist seam. Who am I! There are many different styles and patterns for slips, but this is a pretty common midcentury option with the bust area separated into a raised empire waist with princess seamed flared panels underneath flowing into the skirt portion. I make mine in a slightly crisp rayon jacquard, but this would be even nicer in a silk crepe de chine or light flowy charmeuse. Battle the floopy fabric cut on the bias!
