Full title reads: “... a jolly good fire to roast them! Sir Charles Biron & Mr. A. J. Cook ’beheaded’ and thrown to the flames in University College joyous centenary bonfire rag“. London. Night L/S of fancy dress parade passing a crowd. A man dressed as a bishop is carried along on a sedan chair, as he is carried past crowd they wave their arms in a worshiping motion. Gruesome M/S of three men in hoods hacking the head of a dummy. The ’body’ is then thrown onto a massive bonfire, for Guy Fawkes Night. Panning shot of bonfire being ignited by row of fireworks hanging above it. Various shots of burning bonfire. The bonfire is in front of a large building with columns - possibly the British Museum? Cuts / out takes start at 01:48:14. More shots of parade and bonfire. Shows sign in light above columned building - ULC Centenary, 1827 - 1927.
