For the third and final game of the dad’s trip, the Pittsburgh Penguins traveled to Toronto to take on the Maple Leafs. From the drop of the puck, it was rough sailing for the Penguins. Pittsburgh took a total of 10 penalties throughout the game. Getting into a grove was not an option for the flow of this game. Toronto first struck only a few minutes into the game and kept the pressure coming. Matthew Knies, Mitchell Marner, and Bobby McMann all had a goal in the 1st. That trend continued in the 2nd period. Max Domi, John Tavares, and Noah Gregor all also getting goals of their own. By the end of the 2nd Toronto led 6-0. The 3rd period was the least penalized and this allowed the Penguins to create some chances around the Toronto net. Unfortunately, the Maple Leafs were the ones who scored again. The final goal of the game was scored by William Nylander to bring Toronto’s total to 7 goals. SUBSCRIBE to be among the first to see new Penguins content by clicking here:
