Deprived from tourists but immensely impressive , Hibis temple (made of limestone) is the largest cult-shrine in any of the western desert oases, Construction started during the reign of XXVI Dynasty Ruler Psammetichus II and completed by the Persian Emperor Darius I ( 521-486 BC) . The temple was dedicated to Amun-Hibis (the local version of the God , who ,sometimes getting solar powers becomes Amun-Re).
