Though drag racing is mostly about what you do in your own lane, there are a few ways to upset your rival and one of those is a staging duel. Do you think burndowns are a legit tactic? Let us know in the comments and don't forget to subscribe! Reigning NHRA Pro Mod champion Kris Thorne took on a newcomer to the class, but very experienced drag racer, Manny Buginga. Both drivers refused to stage, leading to a very long burndown on the starting line at the Gatornationals at Gainesville Raceway. Unlike the nitro classes where safety can become an issue, the starter will often let burn downs run longer in the Pro Mod and Pro Stock classes.
