There is one street in Mexico City where you will find most of the buskers. It stretches from Plaza Zocalo to Calle de Bolivar and beyond. It is called 16 de Septiembre. The first official who stopped me said there were designated places. He told me I could play in front of the Nike shop 100 metres further down. He showed me exactly where, but the shop ended up calling the police and complaining anyway. It is a matter of trial and error. The good thing is that it's a busy street most of the time, even during the week. A good place to start, and the police are not nearly as scary as I was told. They are just doing their job and trying to keep everyone happy. Most of the busking sessions go straight to my Facebook page, so connect there if you don't want to miss out. Here are all my links: Check them out and send me a message if you feel inspired. :-)
