Where do the patterns come from? The patterns are generated by the Shape Sequencer (inside the Rhythm Box plugin). Each shape represents a musical note value, e.g., Circle = 1 beat, Square = 4 beats. 2. How are these patterns performed? Use the num keys 1-8 on your laptop to perform the patterns programmed in the Shape Sequencer. 3. Does Rhythm Box work with any keyboard? Yes, Rhythm Box supports all QWERTY keyboards on both Mac and PC. 4. Do the keystrokes get recorded as MIDI in your DAW? Yes, Rhythm Box converts keystrokes to MIDI, which can be recorded in your DAW. 5. Can I record my Rhythm Box performance as MIDI? Yes, you can record your performance and drag the MIDI clip into your DAW. The MIDI FX version also allows direct MIDI recording into your DAW. 6. Can I trigger patterns by drawing MIDI notes in my DAW? Yes, in the Musical Typing window, one-shot samples appear in blue and patterns in red.
