Do you know the fascination of stone painting? It doesn't always have to be a canvas to paint fascinating works of art. Stones are everywhere, plus a few acrylic paints and some resin and you can create dreamlike little works or rocks of art. A beautiful decoration for your home or as a gift for a loved one. To get started you only need a few stones, don't take square ones, round stones paint better. I found my stones in the field, take a walk in nature and you're sure to find your next art supplies. Now you need acrylic paints, the brand does not really matter, the acrylic paints you dilute each in equal parts with water and casting medium. So 1:1:1 For the casting medium, you can take any that is available in your area or one here on Amazon*= colors- medium With stone painting, the substrate is solid, so the materials here are not as important as with a canvas, which is flexible. With a canvas, cracks can occur with the wrong mix recipe or the wrong casting medium. You don't have these problems with stone painting. In the video you can see how the stones look dried, they then have a nice matte surface, who likes that, the stones do not have to seal extra. However, if you want to get a nice shine, you can either paint the stone after drying with the casting medium (it creates a delicate shine) or as I did it, seal the stone with an epoxy resin. Again, the brand doesn't matter, use the epoxy resin you get locally or take one from Amazon*= Here's the overview of the different painting techniques that await you in this compilation: 00:00 Collect stones 00:16 Clean the stones 01:01 Prime stones with paint 01:35 Painting stones with a pouring funnel 04:09 here I paint a stone with the drip technique 06:42 the next stone is painted with the infinity method 08:45 Stone number four, here I use the split pour technique to paint the stone 11:06 painting a stone with a coffee filter holder If you want to see the different painting techniques on canvas, here are a few nice examples of me.
