Описание с Bandcamp’a: “This hand-numbered, limited-edition 7-inch is the debut release by Toronto’s Papermaps (formerly known as EX~PO). Side A, “Reunion,” is simultaneously bombastic and accessible. The production values pay homage to records like “What is Life” and “Instant Karma” while remaining vibrantly modern. From the opening piano hook and massive drum sound to its explosive chorus and sing-along refrain, this song will catch and keep you. “Reunion” is the first single from Papermaps’ forthcoming self-titled album (due out March 2011). Side B, “Banana Republic,” originally appeared on the 2008 EX~PO album Central Meaner Street. It is presented here remastered for maximum fidelity by Noah Mintz. Featuring push/pull, utopia/dystopia imagery, offset by shifting time signatures and backwards string section tape loops, the song is like a marriage between “Tomorrow Never Knows” and the Dave Brubeck album Time Out. “Banana Republic” is one of the few EX~PO songs that Papermaps performs full-colour artwork, titled “Haunts,” was hand drawn by singer/guitarist Dean Marino. It is a psychogeographic exercise based on his neighbourhood in Toronto, highlighting his favourite haunts and the local clubs Papermaps has played. released January 11, 2011 Written / Produced by Dean Marino Dean Marino - Vocals, Guitar Todd Harrison - Bass, Korg, Vocals Wendy Leung - Piano, Vocals Bobby Lee - Drums, Vocals“ Список: 1. 0:00 - Reunion 2. 3:21 - Banana Republic (Remastered)
