Mr Theodor I. Chaliapine is a Bass Singer who has performed the roles of Ivan the Terrible and Mephistopheles. He is seen in the garden drinking tea with a young girl and a dog. They sit in deck chairs. He works in his garden and chops a log with an axe. He sings in front of an orchestra at a recording session. M/S shows Chaliapine singing in front of a large microphone. (Would be nice to illustrate radio broadcasting?) He is also seen singing at home in the garden. He rolls up his shirt sleeves as he approaches a log and picks up an axe. C/U of him smiling. Was an Eve's Film Review item - issue unknown. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ. EXPLORE OUR ONLINE CHANNEL, BRITISH PATHÉ TV.
