A Japanese startup has created a controlled transforming robot. The battery-powered ARCHAX robot can move at a speed of 10 km/h and change shape, switching from “vehicle mode” to “robot mode”. A person can control it from a cockpit equipped with displays transmitting information from nine cameras. Fur can be useful in disaster relief or in the aerospace industry. The team hopes to sell five of these ARCHAX for $3 million (~₽297 million) each.
