A video of an angry passenger complaining about 'halal tea' being served by Railways is going viral on social media. The passenger complains to a railway official who is seen trying to convince the passenger that the food is 100% vegetarian. However, the passenger objects to 'halal certified' foods being served to Hindus and that too in the holy month of Savan. The railway official then finally tells the passenger that he will discuss the issue with senior officials. Later, the IRCTC reacted to the viral video, and said that they have taken note of the objection. IRCTC also explained that the tea served was fully vegetarian and that the halal certification was due to the fact that some of the products are also exported in countries where halal certification is a must. #irctc #railways #viralvideo Subscribe to The Times of India's YouTube channel: For daily news & updates and exclusive stories, follow the Times of India Facebook: Instagram: Download the app: Follow TOI for well-researched and in-depth news and analysis Facebook: Twitter: Instagram:
