International Boxing Hall of Fame, Canastota, New York

Located in the hometown of legendary boxer Carmen Basilio and his nephew Billy Backus, this shrine to the sport of boxing has been an attraction in central New York. Several have been inducted into the Boxing Hall of Fame including Muhammed Ali, George Foreman, Evander Holyfield, Jack Sylvester Stallone! The Hall of Fame is a museum of two parts - one that has plaques for the inductees as well as rooms that contain boxing memorabilia. The other is in a bigger building with a pavilion outside, that houses the old Madison Square Garden boxing ring that was donated to the museum in 2007.
