Here I'm sharing a few things that bring me peace and joy during the months of autumn. Sometimes autumn makes us feel a bit under the weather or slightly more sad than usual, and now that it's November and it's getting colder - I think adding some mindful activities to your day may be helpful. Spend a day with me walking through autumnal woodland, foraging for sweet chestnuts and roasting them and preparing my garden for winter as I share a few activities which make me feel better in autumn. ROASTED CHESTNUTS: Score your chestnuts with a sharp knife or scissors, then soak in hot water for about 15 minutes. Preheat the oven to 180C/ 355F and roast for about 20 minutes. If your chestnuts are bigger they may need more time, if they're smaller they may need less time. 20 minutes is a good average time to set, and after that check them with a fork or toothpick - if it comes in easily, then they're ready.
