End of an Era - Mount Baker Secondary School #CBCMusicClass

This is Mount Baker Secondary School's rendition of End of an Era. Mount Baker entered the CBC Music Class Challenge two years ago with a cover of Feist’s 1234. Our video submission received attention from across the country and led to many appearances and performances for the students that year. In fact, one student from the winning school even moved across the country to Cranbrook the next year and enrolled in the Mount Baker music program. The CBC Music Class Challenge has had a huge impact on our school. Mount Baker Secondary enrols 1000 students, a third of whom are involved in the music program. The program features a 120 voice concert choir, a vocal jazz ensemble, two concert bands, a jazz ensemble and a nationally award winning music composition and recording arts program. Mount Baker Music has toured to perform in festivals in Vienna, Prague, New York, New Orleans and most recently London England. The school also runs its own music production label called Orange Door Stud
