Band: KINO Year: recorded in 1990/released in 2021 The full information about the demos is below the video After completing their extensive 1990 Soviet tour, the guys went on vacation. Tsoi stayed in a small, sleepy fishing village on the Gulf of Riga and asked his bandmate, Kasparyan, to bring a Portastudio and join him there. The guitarist soon arrived, and they started working on the new material, using a tiny shed as a makeshift recording studio. It turned into hard work for both of them, and when they finished a few weeks later, Tsoi joked that it was about time the vacation began. The guys agreed to meet in town for rehearsal in half a month and said goodbye. “Viktor and I finished the new album on August fourteenth. We were both exhausted, but I packed my bags and headed to Leningrad, arriving the next morning at seven. I went right to sleep,“ guitarist Kasparyan later remembered. “I woke up around noon on August fifteenth and headed to a friend's house. In the afternoon, I got a call from Marianna telling me the horrific news,“ he added. In the fall, the band re-recorded the album at a professional studio in Moscow, following Tsoi's last ideas and maintaining a recognizable musical style.
