Police arrested dozens of Palestine protesters at Columbia University on Tuesday night, ending a two-week protest that sparked copycat demonstrations across the world. The university’s administration called in the New York Police Department (NYPD) after students barricaded themselves inside a building, in echoes of 20th century protests against the Vietnam War and South African apartheid.
