Martin Friedschroeder was at the SCC Event at the Gardermoen Dragway in Norway, competing in the Cash Days event in his 1967 VW Karmann Ghia. The car is fully carbon fibre and fitted with a 440bhp 2977cc engine, and an extra 250bhp of NOS !! Martin got through all the rounds, and made it into the final against the Skinne Beetle, but unfortunately Martin had an issue with his NOS setup, when the NOS sensor developed a leak, that could not be fixed. During the final race, when the car auto shifted into 2nd gear, too much NOS kicked in, and the rear wheels lost traction, sending Martin across the track. Luckily the beetle was already slightly ahead, and Martin tucked neatly in behind it, after an amazing save. I'm sure we will see Martin out again, and running to the car's 8.6 potential. A full cash days video will be out soon, so as always, Stay Tuned.
