This was the song that started it all... “Carioca“ was written by Vincent Youmans, Gus Kahn, and Edward Eliscu in 1933 for the film, “Flying Down to Rio,“ which was the first time that Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire appeared on the silver screen together. They were not the stars of the movie but they definitely stole the show with their easy and dazzling chemistry. Audiences loved them together and wanted more, so Fred and Ginger made nine other films with each other in the 1930s and 1940s after their success in “Flying Down to Rio“! We love Fred and Ginger and are happy to present this new arrangement of ours in four hands to celebrate their collaboration! ▶️ If you enjoyed this video, please subscribe to our channel! ▶️ If you like the music we play (four-hands piano, classic jazz, stride piano, swing, blues, boogie woogie, ragtime, and the Great American Songbook), please visit us here: ▶️ Subscribe to our newsletter: 🔶 Become part of our Patreon family! 🔶 Learn about the different benefits here: Thank you so much for watching!
