Article and photos: Zach Irons recently went from opening up for Awolnation with his own band, Irontom, to taking the lead guitar reins on Awolnation’s current tour. Tessa Jeffers met with Irons in Nashville to discuss the setup he’s using live. Zach Irons’ main live guitar is a lefty Japanese Stratocaster with handpainted fingernail polish that Irons applied himself. His grandmother bought it for him online three years ago. Irons is right-handed but he plays guitar left-handed
