Friday October 25, 2019 was the Halloween Hell Bomb held here in Long Beach. Skateboarders from all around dressed up in Halloween costumes and headed to the intersection of Junipero Ave and Ocean Ave for the Third annual Halloween Hell Bomb. It started off with small groups at a time taking the plunge downhill before it turned into a sea of skateboarders bombing the hill in what resembled a moving mosh pit! One by one they got taken out by those fallen in front of them, only to be helped up by another fellow skateboarder and then onwards and downwards to the finish line. After about a half hour or so of hill bombing the focus of attention was midway down the hill where there was a best trick contest on a rail and then eventually the rail was replaced by a car! I didn't get to see that part because the crowd was too thick surrounding the action. Regardless of not being able to see what was happening, I could feel the energy of the crowd when they cheered on a make or the sound of their ahhhhhhs when someone would bail. All I can say was it was awesome to witness such and incredible event put on by the host sponsors and more importantly all of the skateboarders themselves who came together to be a part of this historical event. I'm always amazed by the support the city of Long Beach has for incredible events like this one! Band: Prettiest Eyes Song: It Cost's to Be Austere (Live from Alex's Bar in Long Beach). Mahalo for supporting your local mom and pops shops!
