Researchers used high-speed video cameras to observe predator-prey interactions in natural conditions: a Merriam’s kangaroo rat (Dipodomys merriami) avoids a Mohave rattlesnake (Crotalus scutulatus) strike. The video was recorded at 500 frames per second and is slowed down to 30 frames per second.
