Klyuchevskaya Volcano, Russian Klyuchevskaya Sopka, also spelled Kl'učevskaja, or Kliuchevskaya, active volcano of the Kamchatka Peninsula, far eastern Russia. It is one of the highest active volcanoes in the world, rising to a height of 15,584 feet (4,750 m), the highest point on the peninsula. Klyuchevskoy volcano lies 220 miles north of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky at 56 deg. Because of the potential hazard posed to flight operations, the KVERT was formed in March 1993 after extensive discussions between the AVO and the Institute of Volcanic Geology and Geochemistry (IVGG) of the Russian Academy of Sciences. ---------------------------------------- 🏷️ Tags: klyuchevskoy, klyuchevskoy volcano, volcano, eruption klyuchevskoy volcano, eruption of klyuchevskoy volcano, volcano eruption, live volcano, klyuchevskoy volcano erupting, klyuchevskoy volcano eruption, klyuchevskoy eruption, volcano russia, volcano klyuchevskaya sopka, klyuchevskoy volcano t,klyuchevskoy volcano map, klyuchevskoy volca
