Former pirate who sailed on the Walrus ships. After the death of Captain Flint, he sailed on another pirate ship, but quarreled with the sailors and was left on Treasure Island as punishment. During the three years of life on the island he repented of his countries; found some of Flint’s treasure and moved it to his cave. During his observation, he built a shuttle on the island, on which Jim Hawkins later probably sailed to Espanyola.
