Chaminade was born in Paris in 1857 and died in Monte Carlo in 1944. She is best known for her work 'Flute Concertino,' but she also wrote lots of beautiful and charming piano works. 'Air de Ballet, ' is one of them. It was published in 1884 and was dedicated to Madame G. Costallat. There are recordings of this piece by Chaminade herself.
