Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was born into a strict Irish Catholic family in 1859. Even though Doyle rejected faith at school, he was drawn to the “Spiritualist Craze“ in the 19th Century. He started out as a doctor and broke into the world of literature when he wrote, “Sherlock Holmes“.
