Unissued / unused footage - dates and locations unknown or unclear. Cuts from newsreel story 47/76 - MAE WEST ARRIVES IN THIS COUNTRY. Extreme C/U of Mae West. C/U of Salvation Army man - he seems to be avoiding the camera and runs away (perhaps he was supposed to be somewhere else!). Brief shot of John Parsons assisting Mae West as she steps off the gangplank of the boat. Very light shots of Mae - she really is amazing! Shots of photographers taking photos of Mae. We then see various shots of another woman, posing for photographers and looking rather anxious. Obviously a well-known person in her own right, probably travelling on the same ship as Mae West, but not recognised by this cataloguer. Could be an actress, but not of the high-glamour variety.
