I was going to do a festive cover for Christmas, but they're all too damned cheerful 😂 and not everyone lives in a holly jolly winter wonderland. With that in mind, and not being able to find a sufficiently downbeat yuletide tune to depress you with, I decided to write my own. For some people Christmas can be the least wonderful time of the year, if a friend or relative is ill or if they have lost someone close. Maybe the loss of a job or just that they feel very alone, so I started with that and ran with it. The verses maybe kind of sad, but the chorus is supposed to be more hopeful, as everyone (whether they admit it or not) have or will have dark times in their lives, but eventually “Begin Again“. I'd like to send a big thank you to everyone who has watched, liked, disliked, commented, shared and subscribed over the past 12 months.
