The Bank of England halted its long run of interest rate increases on Thursday. One day after a surprise slowing in Britain's fast pace of price growth, the BoE's Monetary Policy Committee decided by a narrow margin to keep the key lending rate at %. However, economists believe the country’s economy is plagued by serious underlying issues which the government must address.
