Leaving a Son in the Mulberry Garden During the Jin Dynasty, Shi Le of Blackwater state started a rebellion against Jin. Unfortunately, Deng’s sister-in-law was separated from the party in a riot of mob violence. Deng Bo-Dao continued the trip with the two boys, struggling to carry one on his back and lead the other by the hand. They reached a mulberry garden, hungry and exhausted. Or should he leave his own son behind? The challenge is not only to Deng but to all of us who think we are brave enough to face any trial life throws in our face!
