YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I'm so glad I finally finished this video. Like really. I wanted to do this in December but then realized that it would be better to edit and improve some of the stuff I made and record everything after the first patch. And well, here it is! =) So, talking about the video itself (I'll tell a big ass story about development below). I tried using Davinci Resolve now, and it seems pretty cool. Kinda hard to learn but definitely better at some things than Vegas. I have no idea what are those little brightness (contrast?) changes throughout the whole video, but it might be something related to in game HDR, cuz I recorded inspects, pickup and sprint animations separately from firing and stuff. Also sorry for some of the sharp transitions, couldn't get rid of them everywhere and line up everything perfectly. I didn't show every single anim btw, there are still some idle animations missing and stuff, but that would take too much time to record. BUT, most of the stuff is here. So I'm pretty sure you're gonna see something you haven't seen yet :)))) Soo... about the work on these... Well, Idk if the description section is enough to type out everything I have, but... I'll try to keep it at least a bit shorter than I want it to lol :D I made the Glock, Shotgun and Crowbar anims in 2021, as well as most of the Revolver anims, Mp5 too. Basically, I was mostly focused on working on BS from March to September that year. It was a lot of fun. All the different mashups of ideas I had, like mixing hl1 beta and original BS anims for the shotgun, making the weapons feel a bit more classic, and also trying to modernize them at the same time. Mp5 is still my least favorite tho. I really want to improve or rework it. The reloading anims are bothering me the most and I'm probably gonna remake them completely. The new hands mesh don't work pretty well with standart BMS rig so, yeah, I have to do something with that. Talking about the hands, it was a lot of pain just trying to get them to work with the anims I already made. These hands were bought from a 3D website somewhere around June, July of 2021. And as you may guess, most of the anims were done by that time. I had the shotgun still in early stages, but everything else was pretty final. All the different finger placement clipping bugs, weird poses I had to fix (they're still mostly there), new arm twist bones and all that janky stuff were giving me so much trouble. You don't even want to know how hard it is to edit the old projects I have, and then transfer it all onto the new hands. But I'm still kinda satisfied with the end result of everything. The new actual dropping mags, new gun smoke (thanks a lot, Cyvo), and all the randomized anim stuff we have is a big improvement over the original BMS (at least in my opinion haha) But ok, I guess I told you enough info here. There goes the links and other stuff: 30 FPS video version to show how the weapon anims were actually intended to be watched: Coming soon:tm: Music OST used (in chronological order). Composed by Daver. and Cyvo: 1. The all seeing eye (edited and mixed loop version) 2. Trains and Rails (early version) 3. Junction 4.
