Katrina Cain returns for a collaborative conversation about bringing vocal performances into the modular realm with our pal Jacob! Jacob put together a modular system designed to provide different vocal effects and processing, as well as two smaller “control pods“ for Katrina to use as she performs. Join them as they explore how to use comparators to track and divide pitches, multi-tap delays and loopers for rhythmic and polyphonic overdubs, as well as discuss some of the techniques they use to integrate a vocal performance with a synthesizer.
