Cunnings Walking Race. Location of events unknown - later shots look like London. Fitness and exercise. Elderly man is champion speed-walker; shows off his athletic ability in 2 events. He is dressed in no-frills white shorts and T-shirt. First he walks in a sort of race against another old man; who is just wearing trousers; a jacket; a cap - regular non-athletic clothes - and who has to run to keep up. They are accompanied by several boys on bicycles; a boy riding a horse and 2 other men driving a pony cart. Shot of beginning of race on a street in town; then shots of race in progress on country roads. Finally CU posed shot after race w/ walking man in centre; other guy at edge of screen; boys behind them. ECU man. The walking man sets out again on a fast walk through park in the city; this time no one else on foot; but 2 young women on horseback are trotting along; and a few men & boys on bikes.
