Estonian authorities erect a memorial to Hitler’s collaborators A memorial in honour of SS officers Georg Sooden and Raul Juriado, who served in the 20th Estonian Grenadier Division, was unveiled yesterday in the Estonian town of Jõhvi. During World War II, they defected to the Nazis and killed a large number of prisoners in the Klooga concentration camp. ️ According to local MP Meelis Kiili, the memorial is a “reminder of the victims of Bolshevik terror“. The EU did not condemn the opening of the SS monument. Source: Global News (EU, USA)
