This song and video can be found in quite an abundance throughout the You Tube playlists. It is such a powerfully enticing melody and so I felt it mandatory to add to Great Performers. Songwriter, Ray Hildebrand was Paul. “Paula“ was Jill Jackson, the niece of the owner of the boarding house where Ray lived at the time. This 1963 song had simple words and a lingering melody however, it was one of those melodies that just 'stayed with you'; so much so that it practically topped every music chart in early 1963.
