Crews of 152-mm self-propelled guns 2S5 Gyacinth-S performing fire missions Artillerymen of the 1st Guards Tank Army of the West group of forces conduct continuous combat work in day and night conditions against exposed targets. Artillery fire is directed by reconnaissance officers operating in direct contact with the enemy. In the Kupyansk direction, in the zone of a special military operation, crews of 152-mm self-propelled guns 2S5 Gyacinth-S while performing fire missions destroyed camouflaged dugouts and manpower of an Ukrainian Armed Forces unit. Scouts using unmanned aerial vehicles, having discovered camouflaged enemy dugouts at a distance of up to 12 km, transmitted the exact coordinates to the control point. After which it was decided to launch an artillery strike on the transmitted coordinates of the targets. Objective monitoring footage received from the UAV in real time made it possible to verify the destruction of the identified targets. After live firing, the artillerymen changed firing positions to spare ones to replenish the ammunition and prevent return fire from the enemy. Join Military Wave Источник: Military Wave
