Are Bonham Triplets and the Six Stroke Roll the perfect combination for drum fills? And, I'm not talking about RLK, I mean the triplets he did in grooves, like in Good Times Bad Times, RKK, you know what I mean. In this video, we look at how combining them can create an absolutely KILLER 9-Stroke Pattern, which you can loop in the style of a Roll, effectively for as long as you want (as long as you know where you are in the measure!). Buckle up for this wicked 16th Note Triplet Fill and please explore it yourself, muck with the order of the notes, and see what you can come up with! There is definitely a John Bonham flavour to this, there's also some Benny Greb influence, but, ultimately, this is one of those fills that sounds sick and consists of everything you already know!
