I am sorry I'm so late.. and Alice is alive. Actually, there is a reason why Violet is not caught even though she is suffering so much. Almost everyone at school knows that Violet is being bullied. When her see someone better than her, Belle's trauma comes to mind. Belle has killed other people's families before, just as she killed Violet's parents. She is a serial killer.
