Today we are Exploring the beautiful and historical Japanese village of Shirakawago in Gifu prefecture. Back in 1995 this area was marked as a UNESCO world heritage site, and as we walk through the village and see the straw-roof homes, and even fish along the city drains.... it's easy to see why.
